This case fits a 13 inch Macbook perfectly, with a little room to spare for a magazine, pad of paper, or folder. My only minor complaints are that there is a velcro closure and that it could use a little more padding on the edges. The velcro is unnecessary because the case is intended to completely envelop the laptop, so I'm contemplating pulling it out altogether! The edge padding is a little thin, enough that it is really only secure inside another bag. I don't think the case would completely protect the laptop from a waist-high fall. But I bought it specifically to protect it while I carried it in other bags, so it does the job perfectly!
